I'm a regular mechanic

So the adventure on the menu for this past weekend was supposed to be the Good Guys Car Show, and more drag races but for the first part of the day ended up being that my brake pads were completely worn out and so we worked on that. And I did most of the work! I was so proud of myself that I learned that quickly and that the boys trusted me with their blessed tools :) Just Kidding! So anyway we did that for the first part of the morning on saturday and then Albert and his Dad and Brothers went to the car show/drag races, and I stayed home with the girls and we went grocery shopping for everything that we needed in the fifth wheel for the upcoming trip. I am so excited to be on vacation, and to just sit by the pool and soak up the sun (my fav), and we also get to go through Yellowstone park which is really exciting. Although I am somewhat saddened that we won't be staying in West Yellowstone like we did for so many years (thanks mom and dad!) I loved those trips and have so many fond memories of hanging out with mom and cas and tim, and dad when he wasn't in meetings! So you probably won't hear from me for a couple of weeks on the blog front as we won't be anywhere near computers! Just Harley riding and pool going!!! So here are some of the pictures of my mechanic experience this weekend!
Love you guys, until next time, The Shavers

The National Drags

This weekend we went to the National Drag Races in Kent, which for anyone who doesn't know is just outside of seattle. It was such a blast! When we first got there the entrance was backed up onto the freeway for about 2-3 miles and then on the road off of the freeway for about the same distance. Luckily we were on the Harley, and just drove around all of them on the shoulder, and once we got in to where all of the parking was we got to park right next to the entrance! Yay for motorcycles! (I was instructed as soon as we got off of the bike that I had to take a picture of all of the motorcycles that we were parked by. What a boss! I'm not even sure why, his baby isn't even in it lol)

So we went in and first saw the funny cars and that was awesome!! I just loved all of the noise, you could feel it rumbling in your chest it was so loud.

Those are just a couple of pictures of us waiting for the Top Fuelers to start, lucky for us the sun was out all day, it was beautiful! And somehow at this point in the day we ended up in the extreme redneck section with all the smokers, which was good because they were really funny to listen to and they actually knew a lot about the cars so I learned quite a bit, and it was bad because of the smoking :( oh well, we still had fun! Here are some pictures of the Top Fuelers, there is a video too but it won't upload :( so sorry everyone.

This week my sister-in-laws came home from BYU-I for their summer break and it has been so fun! I never realized how much I missed having more girls around, since all I had were 4 boys and mom! They came over for dinner last night and we watched Penelope which was adorable!! So needless to say I have to have girls around, not that I don't love my boys but I just can't live without my girls!!! Also, some other news (no I'm not pregnant) last week I got offered the JV Volleyball head coaching position at one of the high schools in this area, and yesterday I decided to take it. It was a really hard decision for me to make because I felt really inadequate and unprepared but I am organizing away to be ready by the end of August when the whole thing gets going full speed. I just need to get over my nervousness and remember that I CAN DO IT!! So everyone pray for me to be able to take the bull by the horns! Also we Shavers are in the middle of getting ready for their huge family reunion in Yellowstone so we are pretty busy with that too! And hopefully on our way there we will be able to stop through CDA and say hi to everyone!! More after this weekends activities!

Love a very tired and overwhelmed Bizzer

Just a little catch up

So I have finally cracked under the peer pressure and have started my blog. I have to admit before I get any further into this post that I LOVE PICTURES!!!! So if you are one of those people who would rather read than look, then avert your eyes!! I just thought that for this post I would catch everyone up on what Albert and I have been up to for the past month and a half. So it's gonna be a long one :) First off we have the wedding which I am sure you are tired of seeing pictures of but I cannot help myself, I just love them! (Thank you Randi!) So here are a few...

Next we have some of the goings on around our little apartment, the first picture is of the first loaf of bread that I made in the breadmaker that Albert's mom gave to us. I am really unsure of what exactly happened to that poor bread...and don't worry all loaves following have been beautiful!! And the second picture is just one example of Albert's obsession with our wittle kitty Patch. He CANNOT leave her alone, he has to wrestle her and play with her nonstop. The second he walks in the door he is drawn to her like a moth to a flame! He actually was messing with her so much that she was shedding terribly, soooooo we took her in to the groomers for a small haircut, and now she looks like a lion.

About a month ago the Shaver crew decided to take a small camping trip to Leavenworth for fathers day. We packed up the Harleys and the 5th wheel and headed out. We had beautiful weather and rode the harley's to the Grand Coulee dam and then spent some time in downtown Leavenworth. It was a great time for the boys to let loose and have some down time (which means Harley time) and Mom Shaver got some time to relax and read a book (which never happens). So here are some pictures of the dam and some of the motorcycles on the way back to Leavenworth.

Ok you can do it, I'm almost done ;) So our next adventure was the BB King concert that we went to on the 3rd of July. I have never been to a concert like that before it was so fun. So like I said we went on the 3rd, and then decided that we were going to drive home to CDA that same night when the concert was over, so that we could be there for the 4th! It was a VERY long drive but it was totally worth it we had a blast!! I didn't take too many pictures of the weekend but I did take some of our visit to Cooper the Horse, and of our time on the boat! Some of the other things that we got to do though included; a parade, delectable desserts (thank you Ginny), family dinners/bbqs, fireworks, and a baby blessing!  Thank you so much to Mom and Dad for hosting us that weekend, and to everyone else who was there it was such a fun trip! And here are some pictures...(Also the series of photos of albert and I together on the boat were all attempts at me trying to get him to actually smile)

So finally I have been forced to post this picture of my finally realizing that even though we don't have a full sized mirror in our house I can see almost all of my outfit if I stand on the toilet and look in that mirror...and Albert insisted that I post it on my blog (that I hadn't even started)...so after all of the many pictures and the startling length of this my first blog I am now finished. Don't count on too much after this hahaha just kidding...love to all hope that caught you up on we Shavers!
