Blessed

I just have to take this opportunity to remind everyone how important it is to PAY YOUR TITHING!!!!!! The details are not important but lets just say that we have been greatly blessed because of our obedience....this is not me showing off I am just so so so so so so so greatful to my Heavenly Father for all of the blessings he has given me and continues to give me, and for always being willing to take my hand and lead me through trials I did not think I had the strength to continue through.

Well Hello everyone, I'm back and definitely in a better mood than the last time! Just thought I would give you a little update on us. I may have found a family with a 2 year old boy who's daycare just closed, and there is still a part time job open at dream dinners. We are going today to look at a couple of really nice houses in Poulsbo that are for rent, which I am very excited for. We are hoping to get moved within the next week or two which would just be great for me as I am tired of having to walk up and down the stairs five times a night to go to the bathroom, and, of working in the smallest kitchen ever!!! The Varsity team had their last day of districts on Saturday and lost so I will not be going to Tri cities, and I am done with volleyball which is just a huge relief, I can actually make dinner now haha (if I go to the grocery store). I feel really good lately because Albert has been great and is doing my tae bo with me in the morning before he leaves for work so that I am more motivated to do it ;) thanks babe, and I am starting to look prego and not just chubby haha. I cannot wait to go to CDA for Christmas and have lots of fun treats, and watch fun movies and get to spend time with family. I am also excited to go to vanity while I am there so that I can actually have more than just one pair of jeans to wear, it sucks!!! And last but not least, I have been acquiring some baby things such as; a crib (thank you Jessie), a car seat (one of my volleyball girl moms) and a high chair (my friend Tammi), and the cutest little teddy bear (thank you mommy), and last but not least my first little outfit from my sister-in-law that I have hanging on our banister so that we can look at it every day! I am just so excited for this little girl to come! I seriously have baby fever...every time I see a baby I just want it lol. Although I think Patch is fearful that we are hanging it there to torture her, and that we (and by we I mean Albert) are going to put it on her sometime soon hahaha. But anywho, here is a picture of the little outfit, thank you Jessie I love it!!!! Well thats all for now!!!

Grrrr

I find myself once again wallowing in pity for myself. Ok it's not as bad as that, but I do find myself once again looking for a job and a place to live. I have found an awesome place to live but I have got to find a job if we are going to be able to pull this off. And I do not want to apply and go through all the fuss of getting a job that I may or may not be able to continue in six months give or take when the baby comes. Soooooo I am desperately searching for a family who needs childcare and is willing to bring them to me. But, after calling the relief society president I find that there is not much to choose from, and I couldn't find anything online either. And so therefore I find myself wallowing. Pretty pathetic isn't it. Sadly I don't know very many people here who could give me names of people who would need my help. So if someone knows of anyone please let me know. Sorry for the boring post just needed to write things down.

Happy Halloween!!!!

Happy Halloween everyone!!! We had a very relaxing holiday which was great! We decided to go to a friends house to eat and carve pumpkins, and we dressed up, well some of us did hahaha, I was a cat, Albert was a mailman, and Sundaelee was a 80's girl!! (I did my hair and makeup and sundae's!)  We went to the party where Albert was enthralled with carving his pumpkin, and I chatted with people, after that we left to go rent a scary movie. We got prom night, which ended up being too scary for us, and I knew it would give me nightmares if I watched it any longer, it was very disturbing so we switched to Dumb and Dumber!!! I love that movie! So we felt much better after that. I only took a few pictures so here they are.....

Then on Saturday, I stayed in my pj's all day and had a Lord of the Rings marathon, with Patch hee hee she is just as dedicated as me!!!! and here she is, worn out from our vigil hahahaha...

and lastly, I had my last volleyball game with my JV girls last week, which was very much a bittersweet day, I was sad that I wouldn't see them anymore but it is nice to not have that responsibility anymore. I decided that I needed to do something for them and decided to make them each a small candy bouquet. I am still practicing and assisting with Varsity, who has districts this weekend and if they win, state in two weeks after that. So we will see, I might be in tri cities in a couple of weeks! So here are a couple pix of the candy bouquets....

well, that is the update for now!!!

Pumpkin Patch Day!

Last Saturday Albert and I spent the day with Kaylee, Eric, and Kaylee's mom, we went to a pumpkin patch and then back to Kaylee's for a bbq for Kay's birthday! When we got to the patch we saw an awesome opportunity.......slingshotting pumpkins! Doesn't that sound awesome? Well it was! There were targets out in the field that if you hit on the fly you won a pumpkin, and I was so close so many times, but Eric actually hit it and won a pumpkin!  After we finished there we grabbed some food, and headed out into the land of pumpkins, and picked out our favorite ones. Then after we weighed our pumpkins we got some roasted corn (which was amazing!) When we were finally done we took off to Kaylee's. We spent the evening eating and playing games which was really fun! I don't have any pictures of that however, but here are the pictures of the morning!

Here we are with our slingshotting pumpkins....this always happens when I ask him to take a picture with me.

A better picture :)

Winners!!!!

This past Friday was our ward Halloween party which was a chili cookoff and a pumpkin carving contest. For some reason I just had this desire to participate, so I made the chili, and Albert carved the pumpkin. Albert and I thought it would be interesting to try making chili with pineapple in it, so I looked online and found one that I thought would be simple and yummy (which I improvised on). So Friday at lunchtime, I threw everything into the crockpot (recipe to come later) and, then just left it alone. I was sort of nervous to taste it but when I did it was so yummy!!!! It did need a little more pineapple in my opinion, so I had Albert go get some while I was at practice. The activity was at 6:30 and you had to bring your pumpkins ready to carve, so Albert had done that earlier in the day, and we took our pumpkins, our chili, and we went and picked up a disabled boy in our ward who wanted to come and we were off! So when you got there you put your chili on the table in order from mild to spicy (mine was next to last on spice), and then had to name it, we named ours Pineapple Pleasure, and then the judges got their chili first. I waited to go get chili until the line was shorter and by the time I got to my chili it was almost gone, so I barely got a bowl! After people were done eating it was time to carve the pumpkins, which we didn't know was timed haha luckily Albert is quick! Our inspiration for our pumpkin came from.......

Here is Albert when he finished.......

So then they announced the winners for the chili, and I got second place!!!! I was so excited, I have never made chili before, and it was the first one gone!!! Then they announced the pumpkin winners and Albert won first place!!! So then we got home and we lit a candle in it and put it on our front porch and I had to call mom because I couldn't remember the words to the Jack o' Lantern song, can you believe it, we sing it every year! But anyway, I didn't do that before I took pictures of the pumpkin with the prize that we won. And here is the chili picture as well.....

and last but not least the infamous recipe for.....

Pineapple Pleasure

1 14 ounce can crushed pineapple (I used more, but it is a matter of preference)
1 lb Ground Pork
1 15 oz can kidney beans
1 16 oz jar salsa (your choice, this can add or take away from the spice)
1 8 oz can tomato sauce
1 Tbl chili powder

Brown pork in sauce pan on stove.
While browning meat, combine drained kidney beans, pineapple, salsa, tomato sauce, and chili powder, in crock pot.
Add meat to crock pot once browned.
Stir together and turn on low for 7-8 Hours.

Enjoy!!!!

Life just Happens

In the end everything will be alright, and if it's not alright, then it's not the end.

This quote was given to us in church this sunday and I just loved it. Little did I know that it would come into play in my life immediately after, and that I would be living it. Yesterday morning my boss came into work and informed me that he would no longer be keeping this office and that we had about 2 1/2 weeks to find a new place and get moved out. He also let me know that because of the way business has been going he was cutting me down from 8 hours a day to 4. That was a lot to take in, in about one sentence. So I waited until he left, cried a little bit, talked to Ginny, Mom, and my husband, and realized that it wasn't the end. I just needed to keep on keepin' on because everything was not alright yet. Luckily yesterday was a holiday for schools so I did not have to go to practice, so Albert his sisters and I, spent the rest of the day (after my new 4 hour day) searching for a new place to live, contemplating a new job for me, and reporting back to mom. We found some things that sound like they would be perfect, but if those don't work out we are going to continue looking, we also realized that in order to make any sort of payment with out my income, we would have to sell my truck. So that is something we are working on also. I am very excited because we are going to the temple on Saturday, and I look forward to the opportunity to be as close to my Heavenly Father as I can possibly be, so that I can be comforted, and we can hopefully figure out the reason for all of this. I am grateful for a loving family both Shaver and Davis that so willingly came to our aid. I love all of you and can not imagine my life without you.

Just remember...
In the end everything will be alright, and if it's not alright, then it's not the end.

Love the ever Moving Shavers.

My Amazing Husband

So this Saturday I had an all day tournament in Mount Vernon, and when I got home I came home to this..........

The last picture is Albert's shelf heehee, and the blue pillow by the window is Patch's new perch! I was just so happy I have been trying to find a better way to organize my shoes for a long time and he just took over! I am so blessed to have a husband who loves and supports me as much as he does.

Well more later, Love you all

I know I know

Ok so I thought that I would start my blogging make up by posting this picture of our new little baby. I am about 14 weeks now and am feeling great. I get to go into the doctor again in about a month so that should be fun!!! And just for a little update, we just moved into a house that my boss is leasing for an office so it has been pretty hectic for us. I just love working out of my house it is so nice to just be able to be home in my own environment!! My volleyball team is doing great, there are still definitely a lot of kinks that need to be ironed out but we are undefeated in our league so that is great. I get to start playing in a womens volleyball league pretty soon (don't worry it will be light playing) and so I am very excited about that!!! Well that is all for now...don't fret more is to come!!!!

I know I'm a delinquent

I don't have much to post about but I thought that I would just put a little update on here.

~We have decided to stay in Washington for a while instead of going to BYU-I.

~We just moved into this house that has been vacant for quite sometime, it is very quaint and old but we love it. We got it because my boss it leasing it for his office and since it is a fairly good size he thought that he would rent the rest to us for a very good price.

~I had my first craving yesterday (sunday) for chili and rice, but sadly we had none, and neither did my in-laws so I had to go without.

~Oh yes and I CANNOT drag myself out of bed ever, and I mean that I literally will sacrifice anything for an extra 5 minutes, its terrible. But oh well!

So anyway, that is my update, anyone who would like to visit Poulsbo, is more than welcome!!!! Love to all, The Shavers

Do not pass go! Do not Collect 200 Dollars!!

At church yesterday a friend of ours gave us a Harley Davidson Monopoly. So we decided that we would play it last night. We all know how long this particular game takes, and we all know how competitive I am, and Albert is just as bad. All of these things combined leads to us early to bedders being up playing monopoly until midnight last night. Neither of us wanted to give up and so decided that it was totally worth staying awake and only getting a small amount of sleep. Of course I know you are all dying to know who won, and don't worry I will tell you. The lead went back and forth the whole night with each of us mortgaging properties and then getting out of debt until about 11 o' clock when the slow death of Albert came to pass. :( Awwww.....At the very end he ended up with only a get out of jail free card to bargain with, that was quickly lost (to me of course) and the game was over at midnight, with all of the properties in my possession, and almost all of the money as well. Oh well too bad I guess if I had to win....Just kidding I loved it I never win board games Tim always beat me! So that was a fun memory that we got to make thank you to the Starnes!!! The first picture is of the board, where you can see all of my garages and showrooms, the second shows my side with everything lol, and the third of my pouty baby husband. Luckily he was a good sport and didn't throw a fit when he lost, he just promptly got out his guitar and started singing a song about how he lost.
So yay for fun late nights and good memories!
